Last night, Freddie and I attended the Emmy Nominee Reception held at The Hollywood Museum in, you guessed it: Hollywood, CA!

In my 12 years of living in Los Angeles, I have never been to The Hollywood Museum. It was AMAZING. We walked the carpet and then were guided into this timeless museum filled with Hollywood history, including props, scripts, costumes & photos in this stunning historic building. We were then taken into this really cool, industrial elevator filled with music, strobe lights and tvs and brought up to the top floor. It was there that we got to mingle amongst the talented nominees for The Daytime Emmys.

Attending these events with Freddie always makes me want to up my style game. However, I think it is an absolute no-no to spend crazy money on a dress that I will wear only once (ain't nobody got time for that). For the past six years, I have been using a company called Rent The Runway. You rent designer pieces at a fraction of the price and they send you two sizes as well as choose a backup dress just in case you don't like the original choice. The company is beyond on point and I adore renting from them.

This event was no different! I really wanted a classic look, especially being held at such a historic venue. When I saw this AMUR dress, I knew this was it! The color was powerful and the detail was a statement in its own. I wanted to keep the accessories simple as the dress is the true star of the whole outfit. Get the look details below!
