WHAT THE INSTAGRAM BLACKOUT TAUGHT ME

Picture this: The day is Wednesday, March 13th, 2019. I am getting ready for the Draper James x M.Gemi Collection Launch. I grab my photo for Instagram and prep my stories to celebrate and share this fabulous limited line.

I open up my Instagram only to be greeted by a “cannot load” message - no matter how many times I hit refresh. I go to my Insta stories and try uploading - no dice. I then pull up my feed and try uploading a photo - zip, zilch, nada.

HONORING A TRUE AMERICAN HERO: LIFE CELEBRATION OF MY GRAMPS, KENNETH CLIFFORD TAYLOR

Five months ago, I had the privilege and honor of interviewing WWII B-29 Bombardier/Navigator, Businessman, Family Man & my Grandfather, Ken Taylor on a blog titled Life According to My 95-Year-Old Gramps. He shared great wisdom, witty stories & true perspective on living an extraordinary life filled with a positive mindset & wonderful values.

On December 21st, 2018, our beloved Gramps passed away. As devastating as that day was for so many, we were all incredibly grateful for our time with this truly magnetic individual. His Celebration of Life was set for February 23, 2019, at The American Legion in Lady Lake, Florida.

THE BEST ROMANTIC COMEDIES OF ALL TIME

REAL TALK: Reflecting on past years of celebrating Valentine’s Day, no matter my relationship status, one thing always remains the same: my favorite way to celebrate this holiday is with ROMANTIC COMEDIES! Sometimes going out can be stressful. Restaurants are packed, the menus are all preset and the setting can feel very contrived. While I do love celebrating love, sometimes there is no better Valentine’s Day than a date at home with your loved one, favorite rom-com, home cooked meal & delicious wine. #yesplease

This past Friday, I flew into New Jersey as my sister is due to give birth this month! Although she measures early, her official due date is October 31st (my favorite holiday- Halloween!) If you saw last year’s Halloween Vlog with Freddie, I am ALL about the holiday spirit! Carving pumpkins, scary movies, candy corn, you name it - I am there!

LOST YOUR SPARKLE? 5 WAYS TO GET IT BACK

How is it already October 8th!?

Yesterday, I did a post on social media that ended up being a bit of a microblog, if you will. It was The Four Year Anniversary of a very intense car accident I was in. The collision left me in the hospital for three months, re-learning to walk and undergoing 12 surgeries.

The post looked something like this:

ADVENTURE DIARY: WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING AT KINSLEY JAMES

When I was in 8th grade, I remember sitting in English Class and my teacher, Mrs. Pomerantz, told the class that she would be guiding us in a visualization exercise. She instructed us to close our eyes and envision it was our wedding day. She painted a beautiful picture which made us all feel as if we were right there. She continued on and had us visualize, in detail, our wedding dress as we walked down the aisle. At the end of the exercise, she had us greet our significant other and then we were to open our eyes. The class began to roar into discussion as she asked us different questions: “What did your dress look like?” Or “Were you able to envision your future husband or wife?”
